COMPANY REGISTRATION
What is necessary for a foreign citizen to register a company in Serbia?
- Founding Act of Company.In order to register a company in the Republic of Serbia (which is a prerequisite for obtaining VISA D and Residence Permit), you have the option to come to Serbia and certify the founding act or to authorize us with a special power of attorney (which you will certify in your country at a notary and confirm with an apostille).
- Company headquarters. Having a registered office is a necessary precondition for company registration. You have the option to buy office space or rent office space or hire our virtual office service. The virtual office service is very convenient for foreign nationals because they save money because they don’t have to buy or rent office space.
- Founding Capital. The minimum founding capital is EUR 1.
However, if one of your goals is to obtain a Residence Permit in Serbia, it is necessary to pay a larger founding capital.
- Predominant Activity of the company. It is necessary to determine the main activity of the company that you want to engage in in the Republic of Serbia. What is important is that you can engage in any activity even though you only register one business activity.
- Director. It is necessary that the company has at least one director, but you can have more directors. What is important is that the director does not have to be present in the Republic of Serbia during the certify of the Founding Act at the public notary, but only the founders.
- Shareholders/Founders. A company can have only one shareholder or several shareholders. What is important is that the members must certify the Founding Act of the Company at the public notary.
Time required for company registration. From the moment we prepare all the documentation, the company is registered within 5 working days.
VISA D (Long-term visa)
In order to be able to stay in the Republic of Serbia and performed business as a director or shareholder after the registration of the company, it is necessary to obtain VISA D.
What is very important is that if you want a Residence Permit in the Republic of Serbia, in most cases for foreign citizens it is necessary to obtain a VISA D.
Foreign citizens apply for VISA D at the Embassy of Serbia in their country.
Documentation to be submitted for VISA D Application:
- Certificate of the registration of a company in the Republic of Serbia.
- Valid passport (passport must be valid at least 90 days from the issue date of visa)
- Letter of invitation:
– for a private visit – an invitation letter certified by the relevant authority of Serbia
– for a business visit – invitation letter by a company in Serbia;
– for a tourist trip – a proof of payment for the trip is issued by a travel agency (voucher or other types of payment receipt); - Completed visa application form;
- Photo (size 3.5×4.5cm);
- Return ticket or Itinerary (copy of Driving License and Insurance if you travel by car);
- Proof of sufficient funds for staying in Serbia;
- Health insurance
- Visa fee.
Time required for VISA D. From the moment we prepare all the documentation, and when the Request for VISA D is submitted to the Embassy of Serbia in your country, it takes within 30-45 days.
RESIDENCE PERMIT
The easiest way to obtain a Residence Permit in the Republic of Serbia is based on company registration. The Residence Permit is issued for the first time for a period of 2 months to 1 year, after which it is extended and lasts for a maximum of 5 years, after which you acquire the right to permanent residence in the Republic of Serbia.
Steps to obtain a Residence Permit.
- Register Company.The first step is Company Registration.
- VISA D. The second step for most foreign citizens is to obtain a VISA D based on company registration.
- Submission of Application for Residence Permit. Third step.In order for the Residence Permit Request to be approved, you need to obtain certain documentation:
- Proof that you have a registered company in Serbia
- Proof of means of subsistence during the planned temporary residence. That you have a private bank account in the Republic of Serbia and that you receive a confirmation from the Bank that you have EUR 1,000 in the account, which is sufficient to support yourself in the Republic of Serbia.
- Registration of either short-term or residential address in the Republic of Serbia. You have the option to conclude a Lease Agreement and have the lessor notarize a statement that they agree to apply for a residence permit at that address. Another option is that you do not conclude a Lease Agreement, but that we obtain it all for you as a service.
- White Card.
- CV. A document in which you will state everything about your education and all the details of why you registered a company in Serbia and what your plans are for the future in Serbia.
- Proof of health insurance during the planned residence. It is about voluntary private insurance for one year, as long as the residence permit lasts.
- Proof of prescribed administrative fee payment.
- VISA D. VISA D is not required for certain countries.
